Who we are

Tiger Software Engineering Ltd is the data controller for the information described here. We are registered in England & Wales, company number 11327298.

For anything to do with your data — questions, access requests, deletion, or a complaint — email [email protected]. A person reads it.

What we collect, and why

If you send us an enquiry

The contact form asks for your name, email address and message. You can optionally add your company, the service you are interested in, and a rough budget. We use it to read and answer your enquiry, and nothing else — you will not be added to a mailing list.

Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us about our work. You asked us a question; we answer it.

If you buy hosting from us

We record your name, email address, the domain name your site will use, which plan you are on, the amount, and the reference numbers our payment processor gives us so we can match payments to your account.

We never see your card details. They go straight to our payment processor and are never sent to, stored on, or visible to our systems.

Lawful basis: performing the contract you entered into with us, and our legal obligation to keep accounting records.

When you simply visit

Nothing is collected. There is no analytics, no visitor tracking, and no advertising code on this site. Our forms use a third-party bot check to tell a person from a bot; it checks the browser rather than you, and does not track you across other websites.

What we deliberately do not collect

• Your IP address. Our forms limit abuse by email address rather than by IP, specifically so we never have to store one.
• Analytics of any kind. No Google Analytics, no page-view counters, no heatmaps, no session recording.
• Cookies. This site sets none, which is why you have not been shown a cookie banner.
• Anything for advertising. We do not advertise, and we do not sell, rent or share your data for anyone else to advertise to you.

Who else handles your data

We keep this list short on purpose. These are the only third parties that ever touch your information, and each one does a specific job:

• Stripe — processes payments for hosting subscriptions. Your card details go to Stripe directly and never pass through our systems.
• A bot-protection and content delivery provider — runs the bot check on our forms and serves this website to visitors.
• A hosting provider in the EU — runs the servers our systems sit on.

Emails we send you are sent from our own mail server, not a third-party marketing platform. If you need these providers named — for a procurement or due diligence review, for example — email [email protected] and we will tell you.

Where your data is held

On our own servers in Germany, within the EU. Some of the providers above are headquartered in the United States; where data reaches them, the transfer is covered by the safeguards UK data protection law requires for international transfers, such as standard contractual clauses or an approved adequacy framework.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries: two years from when you send them, then deleted automatically. If you write again, that newer message starts its own two years.
• Hosting and billing records: six years after your subscription ends, then deleted automatically. We keep these because UK law requires us to retain accounting records for that long, not because we want to.

These deletions are automated, so they happen whether or not anyone remembers. You can ask us to delete your data sooner — see below.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:

• tell you what personal data we hold about you, and give you a copy
• correct anything that is wrong
• delete it (we will, unless we are legally required to keep it — billing records being the usual exception)
• restrict or object to how we use it
• provide it in a portable format so you can take it elsewhere

Email [email protected] and we will respond within one month. There is no charge.

If you are not happy with how we have handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would rather you told us first so we can put it right.

Keeping it safe

Everything sent to this site travels over an encrypted connection. Our databases refuse access by default and are reachable only by the specific services that need them. Access to the servers is by cryptographic key only — there are no passwords to guess.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and change the date at the top. If the change is significant and affects people we already hold data about, we will tell them directly rather than relying on anyone noticing.
